Riots in China -- Breaking news

Apple tried to make products in the USA for decades. They would develop a great machine -- but could not get it built in sufficient quantities until around the time the next great machine was ready. Everyone would cancel their orders for the previous version and place orders for the new one.

I was a consultant for Apple back in the 90s and worked at a plant they had in Colorado. What a bunch of loons they had there. Bad management... bad attitudes by employees. I saw some really crazy stuff go down there.

I hope they burn the apple slave camp to the ground noone should have to live like they do.

That's right. It takes too long to build the machines and automate the process, easier to hire slave labor for $2 an hour instead.

socialism/communisim...only a few at the top get the big bucks, the rest of china population are slave labor, live like dogs, treated like animals....

china then spouts how rich they are...what a crock....their abusive behavior to have wealth, building huge cities, with nobody living in the buildings they have built; because the people are so poor, they live in the streets in tents...

The USA Corporation aka the Federal Reserve Board goes to china begging for a loan....to pay their debt payment....

Yes, the US is doing this to us with Iran to keep our eyes off the economy and financial disaster.

FDR didn't pull up out of the Depression, it was WW2 that did.

#4 which is the actual #1 reason... they don't have to pay the incredible tax burden placed on them. They asked for this to be lowered so they can actually make money instead of giving most of the profit to the government in taxes, but the goverment would not budge. So they moved to do what business is supposed to do, actually make money. If you don't do that, there is no reason to be in business.

The messed up thing about FoxConn and the Apple factory is that these workers work far harder than US workers typically would and they do it for almost no pay and they do it in essentially slave labor conditions. And you and I subsidize that slavery and exploitation with every iphone we purchase, and most motherboards, etc. The winners are the Chinese Communist party and a couple corporations.

Well, they don't have to worry about unions there which are responsible for driving up labor costs so high US firms often cannot turn a profit unless they resort to foreign labor.

That and the fact that there will be a secret election held to decide who will lead China over the next few years. The Chinese people have to be distracted. Otherwise they might remember what a totalitarian state they live in.

do you have any idea how many things foxconn makes? i would almost bet EVERY COMPUTER ON THE PLANET has something made by foxconn in it. usb ports, audio jacks, sata connectors, ram slots, pci/pci-e slots, heatsinks, cpu sockets, etc....

Corporations were making profits in the US. They just weren't making the kind of profit they want. Why make an honest 300 million when you can screw your workers (also known as customer base) by shipping jobs off so that you can earn 1.2 billion?

the chinese people are to busy being happy consumer capitalists.

Initially the chinese wanted to work cheaply. They have eventually learned what life is like in other places. I think the Chinese people have gained the same amount in knowledge of their repression as the corporations have in profit. To me, the knowledge and truth of one's chains are worth more than money.

It is because the working class is being treated like slaves and imprisoned in their work with no other way out than death.

Finally the people stand up just to be knocked down.

That is what they get for letting American companies invade their land and set up factories just to force the people in low income and terrible working and living conditions.
