Quoting: pink cat this is clearly a "christian" holy spirit/ghost/dove symbol painted just so in this way with the dove coming down exactly like that. is the current dalai lama trying to get this symbol incorporated into buddhism or have i missed that this symbol was in buddhism already a lot. i've never seen a painting depicting the buddha with the dove over his head like that, exactly like the vatican. also what is up with this double rainbow symbol? a rainbow coming from 2 opposite directions? i'm seeing that everywhere now. it was even in the olympic mascot commericial. i'm not talking about a traditional double rainbow but one rainbow coming from one side and another from the opposite side. here are the 2 photos: [link to www.facebook.com] they are public so anyone should be able to view them. you do not need a fb account. pink cat (OP) User ID: 24345570 United States 09/26/2012 12:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | this is interesting: [link to www.softcom.net] in searching for the meaning of a 5 petal lotus i came across this. church of latter day saints used an upside down pentagram for a symbol at one time? "Why is the symbol inverted, you may ask? With one point down, the symbol suggests that it is drawing it's light from the rising sun. It declares that the greatness and glory of Jesus Christ has come from God the Father (2 Peter 1:17)-- It is a well known fact, that the reason Venus appears so bright in our horizon, is because it actually reflects the light of the Sun. Other symbolic meanings of the Pentagram (Morning Star) which are used in the LDS temples can be further found in the Bible, as well. Jesus, said, "And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers; even as I received of my Father. And I will give him the morning star." (Rev. 2:26-28)" so an upside down dove could, in fact, be representative of an upside down pentagram. and the upside down 5 petal lotus the same thing. interesting...... 🦋 |

pink cat (OP) User ID: 24345570 United States 09/26/2012 01:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | [link to en.fairmormon.org] in each place i find a new reason why mormons use upside down pentagram. "The Prophet Joseph Smith indicated that he received the pattern for the Nauvoo Temple by revelation (cf. DC 124:42). He told the architect of the project, "I have seen in vision the splendid appearance of that building illuminated, and will have it built according to the pattern shown me" In 1985 LDS Church Architect Emil B. Fetzer stated that the inverted stars on early LDS temples were not sinister but were “symbolic of Christ.” He said that when the LDS Church “uses the pentagram or sunstone in an admirable, wholesome and uplifting context so it's venus, no it's jesus, no it's the sun.... it's the same star as the jews (no, it is NOT the star of david). etc etc. maybe i can see romney becoming president after all! 🦋 |

pink cat (OP) User ID: 24345570 United States 09/26/2012 01:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | wajok God of the Ymodi White Fury, Wreaker of Vengeance, Guardian of Himod, Rage of the High Waters Demigod Wajok is physically embodied in the dangerous rapids of the upper Weben river. In the spirit world, he has a vaguely humanoid, vaguely ursine form composed of rapidly moving water constantly breaking into whitewater plumes. Wajok is the chief deity of the Ymodi people, and rules all the spirits of their rugged land. Although a spirit of water, and primarily associated with that element, his power is wider than that, and embraces many other types of spirit. He is seen primarily as the guardian of the land, who protects it from enemies, and only secondarily as the protector of the Ymodi people. He is an angry god but can be calmed by sacrifices, primarily of hunted animals, but also including captured human enemies. 🦋 |
