Strictlyhonest (OP) User ID: 24198976 Netherlands 09/27/2012 07:03 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | How big are those pieces of space junk? Quoting: Mr information 1337378 Is it the size of powder grains or big chunks like sattelite debris? But i guess at the speed of thousands of miles an hour it doesn't really matter does it? An old Russian COSMOS satellite is expected to enter the space station's so called red zone at 10:42 a.m. Then another piece of space debris, a fragment from an Indian rocket is expected to be pass by early Friday morning. I see these are indeed potentially hazardous considering they would actually hit the station. But doesn't the international space station have an internal radar so that they could know if space debris is going to hit them? If a collision happens the space station will be obliterated and set the stage for a chain reaction of debris out of space. Hmm possible space doom! Doom on it! |

I also wondered why they are telling us this. There are many things we are not being told. There were some asteroids or junk across the UK a few days back and now this? Are we about to witness more of these junk falling to earth but we are now being given the cover story of international space station? |
