It is not like they are given iphones, they are super cheap tracphones types with 250min a month (used to be 60), no internet, and texting kills those mins real fast. The phones cost like 3 bucks for the gov, if that, and sometimes they are recycled phones..

Some people don't have landline, and do need a way to contact people, make appts, and it is not like there are payphones on every corner like there used to be.

Also, not everyone who qualifies for snap (food stamps) gets a phone. There are additional requirement.

I am sick of hearing about this free phone business.. I am also sick of hearing how your poor check is paying for this. Well, get over it. My tax dollars pay for it too, and I don't bitch constantly about it.

I don't mind helping the people who need it, I get pissed when I see this illegals getting aid and black women with all the gold jewelry, 5 kids by 5 different fathers, and their $300 weave, $40 mani, iphones, and designer clothes. Call me racist, but it is true. Oh, and their kids were dressed in designer clothes too.. Seriously?

When I was a child we hit hard times, and I remember sitting there and saw a woman like I described above, driving a Mercedes, treated like a queen by the welfare people, and was given her aid.. but we were denied even though we had no income and no assets. No reason given.

I don't like my tax dollars going to foreign aid, racist college funds, illegals, but I am not going to complain about it.

If you wanna bitch about something, how about funding Muslims, guns to mexico, losing our rights, and being treated like criminals and put on a watch list cuz you're a vet, or believe we should follow our laws.
