WTF? Not a single aftershock from Columbian Earthquake? Why?

Your link was to an EQ in the Philippines. There has STILL not been one Aftershock. I find this to be extremely strange. It's almost been 24 hours since the 7.3 Quake.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't aftershocks supposed to occur in the exact spot the first earthquake occured?

Columbia and the Philippines are thousands of miles apart. Aftershocks occur in close proximity to the large quake. Again, there have been ZERO aftershocks.

Appreciate that. Can't say I've ever seen such a large quake with no aftershocks....

Edit, there has been one EQ over 300 miles away. I wouldn't call that an after shock from the 7.3 EQ.

Either the 7.3 quake relieved all the pressure around it, OR A GOOD POSSIBILITY of a larger quake coming.

And by the way, still not a single aftershock for a 7.3 EQ. Sorry, but this is beginning to be extremely off the norm. I'm beginning to woder if this quake even really happened.

It was a slip quake, not a subduction zone quake

Even the 5.9 in Virginia had many aftershocks which was not a subduction zone quake.

Yes does seem strange, I had a look through some history after quakes this size, a few have had no foreshocks, but not one had 0 aftershocks.

I feel the ring of fire in the Pacific is like a giant cog. This cog is rotating. What is surprising is the earthquakes start either clockwise from the South Pacific through Alaska and then down the Pacific coast of the US... OR up from South America throughout Mexico and the Pacific coast of the US. In this case, both occurred withe pacific coast of the US in the middle.
