Anonymous Coward User ID: 24980684 United States 10/06/2012 12:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It only means one of 2 things: Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20129820 war is immenent and extra tax money is needed, so raise the price of petrol/diesel or, the assumtion sinkhole is going to blow (and they know it) ... so, they are shutting the oil pipelines in the area, and it is more expensive to get gasoline by tanker to the areas or perhaps both?... Obama looked very worried on the night of his election debate ... looks like he was 'spooked' and knows that TSHF soon? am just guessing though |

They reached their $4.12 peak in 2008. They dropped right before Obama took office. They are back up again, but not much worse than 2008. They run the prices up to get what they want somewhere else. We are a herd of slaves and oil is just another whip. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 19108954 United States 10/06/2012 12:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Do people seriously not remember the fact that gas was over 4.00 dollars a gallon in 2008? I read a thread that said they were paying like 2.00 a gallon before obama. I dislike obama immensely but this information is completely false. Maybe its ONLY NY but i highly doubt it Bush countered this by lifting the ban on off shore drilling. As a result speculation drove the prices down. What has Obama done? The exact opposite. Left hand/Right hand dude...WTF? Don't be dense. What he did was help increase production. It has nothing to do with right hand/left hand. It has to do with basic economics. If you increase product availability in the market, the prices will naturally go down. Speculators made their move and the prices fell. Obama has made it his mission in life to make sure production goes down and has done everything within his power to accomplish this. That is something he has verbally declared many times. BTW: It's not "dude". |

Even more so since Obummer's own Secretary of Energy said a few years ago that he'd like to see the price of oil soar in order to discourage people from driving so much and contributing to pollution. |
