People around here are always talking about being "awake", but at the same time...

Awake means different things to different people..

Know someone who claims to be 'awake' and claims he has a smile all the time because he's at such peace with the world we live in today..big time liberal,

imo: He's not awake, he's just living in ignorance.

People talk about being awake, but after discussing what that really means is that they want life to stay just the way it is right now.

They want to be able to keep their crappy house in the burbs.

They want to keep their job at the corporation.

They want to see the U.S. as the only world power.

They want to eat junk food and to watch TV each night.

They want their kids to be rich and have a "good" job as a manager.

In other words, awake means not changing anything.

Sorry, but you are in for a major shock soon...

Trying to walk around in so called "love" and "peace" is just another false path. Thinking that life must be all "huggy" and "kissy" gets you no closer to the truth than what they had before.

The only path Home is to refuse to live in fear, be strong, stay balanced and love others. By "love" here I mean that you don't hurt or control others.

You don't have to hug them, just leave them alone to live their own life without you telling them what to do.

Get it?

Don't try to be "awake". Try to figure out how to get out of this prison. The key is knowledge and a lack of fear...

That's all it takes. And you don't have to tell ANYONE how awake you are. It's a personal journey...

I really don't believe that being "awake" seems change! Life can't stay the way it is to awaken. Duh!

But, people here talk constantly about awakening, but they don't want to change their petty little lives in any way.

Silly.

People are all for being "awake" or "enlightened" as long as they can keep their American lifestyle. Still cheat others in the name of "business". And their life stays just as it is now.

As soon as change or sacrifice is required, then never mind...

People talk about being "awakened", but when you mention anything about the U.S. being wrong about it's desire for world domination and people start getting very angry.

How do you justify killing others in the name of "controlling world terrorism" and then call yourself "awakened"...

I wonder, as I read your blanket judgement of the peeps of GLP, what are YOU posting with?
A homemade computer? Doubt it. Are you wearing homemade clothes? Made of sustainable hemp? Doubt it. Do you live in a completely green house? Never use plastic? Treat all you contact with love and tolerance? (I think this has clearly been shown to be untrue )

It boggles my mind that the like the only people here that make sense here are AC's people sit here hating on gay people blacks whites arabs jews christians muslims mostly and yet thats TOTALLY what "TPTB" wants they know people in power want us to hate each other and they 100% fall for it.

I used to think I was awake, but I find the more you know the deeper the rabbit hole goes. Altho I was NEVER so asleep as to think that government and their insidious wars and power grabs were serving anybody but themselves.

It does mean something to me young man. I am an old fucker and I have seen a lot in my life. All we can do is to be aware of the world around us. To keep our eyes open and to then act as our heart tells us.

That is all we can do.

The guy above wants to put down what I am saying by suggesting that I am part of the problem. Well, all I can say is that I do the best I can with the world around me.

Would I like to do some things differently. Yes, but our world is the way it is. But, I try to make this world a better place when I can.

All we can do is the best we can with what we are given.

In conclusion, as you go through your life, watch the world around you, change what you can and accept what you can't.

Yes my friend. People will call themselves "enlightened" and then hate others because of the color of their skin or if it endangers their little petty lives. They will allow others to be killed in the name of "defense". Sick.

Truth is truth. It doesn't mean that our lives can't change. This frail physical body is not who we really are. So, change is always with us as we try to move forward.

We have to accept change with love, grace and balance in our hearts. That is true enlightenment...

No matter the age... I was having a great conversation with a 55-60 year old man last night about his tours, what he was been through in his life that ultimately lead to a more philosophical discussion....

I'm sticking to soul searching, caring for others more than myself but not excluding myself... while observing at the widest possible scale I can of my surroundings that I can hopefully, maybe, just 'know' the real story...

There once was an old owl that lived in the trees at the edge of a large green pasture. After a noontime meal, he would often sit in a tree overlooking the pasture with a flock of sheep below. He was sleepily resting when a very large, black sheepdog came to lie in the shade of the tree to avoid the hot afternoon sun.

Noticing the owl sitting in the tree above, the dog said, "Look at those stupid sheep. They have no idea how much we do for them. If it wasn't for us, they would all be eaten by the wolves in no time. They should worship us, not our master! He is never around. We control this pasture."

The old owl said, "Does it never bother you controlling and ruling them the way you do?" "Bother me? Ha, ha!", said the dog, "Fool! Without us the many predators would eat them in no time at all! We are saving them! They need us. They have no idea how much work it is controlling them! Look, they don't even realize that we control them! Ha, ha. In fact, it makes them feel more secure knowing that we are here to protect them."

"Every once in a while, some young ram full of life will try and show his prowess, but we quickly put him in his place. He doesn't try that again I can tell you.", said the sheep dog with a slight grin. "They soon learn that they are not in control here, we are.", he said sternly.

The owl said to the sheep dog, "but don't you realize that you are controlled by humans the same as the sheep?" "Rubbish!, said the sheep dog, "We control this pasture! We tell the sheep where to go and when to do it, he said proudly." The old owl listened quietly and then asked after a short silence, "But you don't get to eat the tasty mutton, the humans do, is that not so? So who is really in control?"

This caused the sheep dog to fly into a rage. Showing his teeth he said to the owl, "If you were not up in that tree, I would eat you right now to show you who rules this pasture! Not humans!" The old owl chuckled at this bravado and said to the dog, "I don't fear your threats, I am not part of your silly game. That is why I spend my time alone, quietly watching this struggle from the trees. It does not concern me."

"Then why are you here?" said the dog, still angry from this affront. "To watch and to learn, just like you", said the owl. "Watching is all well and good, but power and control are what really matters! I am in control of my destiny, unlike these stupid sheep!", said the dog. The dog was still irritated at the turn in the conversation finally said, "I have to get back to work. The master will be coming soon to select a couple of lambs for his dinner. You can get back to your dreaming. I have work to do!"

The dog then returned to the field, angrily snapping at the heels of a couple of lambs straying too far from the flock. The old owl then returned to his watching and to his afternoon dreaming.

I didn't like loosing all my favourited threads...

Now I just bookmark and never have to loose anything..

I haven't had a TV for over 10 years now, but still watch a movie now and then on my computer.
