View it as reading an old diary and stay positive. You probably just need to feel different about a past situation.

It's OK don't worry or get upset. The flashbacks are just coming to your attention, not to scare you but to try and help you get over whatever happened. Avoiding them wont work, so instead of doing that try and get over it piece by piece, by writing situation,thought,feeling down on a piece of paper and as you do this let the strong adult you inside give supportive words to the small vulnerable you and let them say what you would like to hear at that moment to feel better. Slowly get used to these negative feelings so they affect you less and less and you will become to accept what happened.

Does getting drunk ever really help? Or does it just make you feel worse? Tell the truth to yourself.

Is there anyone you can call and talk to, a somewhat friendly voice? Even if you haven't spoken to them in a long time. Pick up the phone and call them.

Self medicating does help when done in moderation, that's why I did not drink anything yesterday. I don't have any friends, couple people will say they are my friend but it is only when they need me.

nourish your self op, give yourself a hug, breathe in the day, it is for you! Carry a light spirit and joy will emerge.
