Nothing quite like Mind numbing pain to raise the bar on that which we believe we are able to stand. Yeah... When I used to drink I tested that threshold all the time... lol. Hangover got nothin on this. Nothing does...tbh. Perhaps this... But encompassing your entire Center, with a duration of 5 hours. Difficulties strengthen the Mind as labor does the body... ~Seneca |

Imagination would be about the only tangible thing one has to hold onto. Unbridled without restraints of past concepts held onto by the brain. Enter the Helen Keller story [link to scentofdawn.blogspot.com] "...the mind is as large as the universe. […] a house with which I am not familiar has for me, at first, no general effect or harmony of detail. It is not a complete conception, but a collection of object-impressions which, as they come to me, are disconnected and isolated. But my mind is full of associations, sensations, theories, and with them it constructs the house. The process reminds me of the building of Solomon's temple, where was neither saw, nor hammer, nor any tool heard while the stones were being laid one upon another. The silent worker is imagination which decrees reality out of chaos." "Without imagination what a poor thing my world would be! My garden would be a silent patch of earth strewn with sticks of a variety of shapes and smells. But when the eye of my mind is opened to its beauty, the bare ground brightens beneath my feet, and the hedge-row bursts into leaf, and the rose-tree shakes its fragrance everywhere. I know how budding trees look, and I enter into the amorous joy of the mating birds, and this is the miracle of imagination. We should look to a blind deaf mute girl as our professor on the subject. “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, but just felt in the heart.” These are the words of the blind, deaf, and dumb girl, Helen Keller, the awakening of whose soul and intelligence is one of the great educational feats of our time. love reading her quotes [link to www.brainyquote.com] Thank you for this thread Aruna, Thanks to your imagination. yea, I spoke Last Edited by Cutbait on 10/10/2012 08:00 PM |

With that restraint we tend to limit our imagination a bit. Thank you so much for showing me that... It's truly amazing not only from an imaginative perspective but from a senses perspective too. That testing done on his brain showing how it is activated the same as anybody's opened my eyes and brought up questions. Are senses what we think they are? (prob. not, LOL) Can senses transmute for one another? (maybe) Do we have more senses than we realize? (probably) Do we use our senses to their fullest? (prob. not) Is his third eye open due to lack of eyesight...maybe the brain produces more DMT since he is in darkness. This last ques. is the one I'm really contemplating. It intrigues me. I think the point is that there is an ability to visualize that exists independent of the actual body senses (sight, feel etc...) When looking into ancient art like those spirals and other such cave paintings I had wondered once how those may have been painted as a result of that "other sensory" information the artist was receiving at that time that was NOT based on the actual physical senses. |

When I write poetry, sometimes I am amazed at what comes in. Same with sketching. Once the flow starts, it comes from elsewhere. Every artist says this. It's a type of channeling. I've found my whole body is an antenna and I'm learning to let go so I can discover more. Creativity, imagination, intuition...those seemed rolled up together, pulling the heart and mind into ONE.
