The last time I checked I lived in the USA. That means we have the choice to wear a flag pin or a nose ring, it is our right, our choice. As long as we are not injuring anyone by doing it, it is our choice.

The bigger picture here is that because we live in the USA, our government can not mandate that anyone not wear a flag pin nor a nose ring. This mandate would violate our constitutional rights. However, our employer can mandate these things. Imagine if they mandated what you ate for lunch or what time you went to bed at night. It's getting a little ridiculous what an employer can mandate without being held accountable for violating our rights. They're mandating what kids eat & don't eat not only while at school but now what their parents can send them for lunch.

Currently, a large majority of employers are mandating that their employees must receive the current flu shot. If they don't voluntarily (?) receive the flu shot, they will be fired. Ridiculous!

They've (TPTB) figured it out, our government doesn't have to do anything to mandate violating our rights, they are now leaving that to our employers. "If you do, you will loose your job!" How ignorant for ABC to ban anything, let alone a "flag pin". How about they ban ignorant pundits? How about they ban spreading propaganda?

I noted yesterday that Ohio is introducing a bill that would ban concealed carry on any property the carrier didn't own. Again, our federal government doesn't have to change our Constitution, they'll just leave it to the states or the employers.

I don't recognize this place anymore. As I read most of what everyone has written, I shook my head. Since when was wearing a flag pin considered overtly patriotic? Did we not watch people all over the Middle East burn our flag as they shouted "Death to America"? It's their right. I agree, it is their right, but we also have rights too. We have the right to end aid to those countries. We have the right to view you as ignorant radicals. We have a right to believe that Islam is NOT a peaceful religion. We also have the right to draw funny faces on images of Mohammed & make silly videos about Islam & Mohammed.
