Till they realised it had already been carried out years before, well they forgot, they are a bit dim.

I'm tired of hearing about how Iran is so peaceful and they never attack anyone. Comparing the current Iran regime to Iran 200 years ago is nuts. Comparing the current Iran regime to the Iran regime before 1979 is also nuts.

In 1979 the Shah of Iran was overthrown and Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini took power. When Khomenini took power he wanted to spread the Islamic revolution which took hold in Iran. Khomenini called on all Shia Muslims in Iraq to revolt as well and to overthrow Saddam Hussein. While the Iraqi's were alarmed by this they ignored the threat and Saddam Hussein gave a speech praising the Iranian revolution, and called for an Iraqi-Iranian friendship based on non-interference in each other's internal affairs.

Did Iran accept this olive branch? Nope. Khomenini continued to call for a Shia revolution in Iraq to overthrow Saddam. Well the Iraqi's took this seriously and attacked Iran while they were still disorganized by the Islamic revolution.

This goes back further then this though. In the mid 70's Iran was supplying weapons to the Iraqi Kurds again with the purpose of overthrowing Saddam.

So as you can see Iran is not some peace loving Utopia like some of the shills make them to be.

As for Iran attacking another country being suicidal. Just read the quote in my Sig. It will tell you all you need to know about Iran and Islam. The leaders of Iran are twelvers. Look that up if you don't know what it is. Basically they believe that they need to cause a huge war and chaos for the 12th Imam to return with Jesus Christ. So by starting a war with Israel and the USA they believe they are doing Gods work. It's anything but suicidal in their minds. If they die they die Martyrs doing work to bring back the 12th Imam and Jesus himself.

So stop posting your shill propaganda saying how Iran isn't a threat. You obviously know very little about their history or how their Islamic beliefs influence the current government.
