No heat no hot water no power Thatis what propane, wood, and kerosene is for.- and Home Depot has all you need to make them work for you.- except maybe the box of barn burners, which the grocery store carries. My fireplace doesn't heat the entire house, we have a kerosene heater thanks for info thoughh |

Hmmmmmm no heat or electric, 36-45 . That's fricken cold my friend. It's 32 right now in Port Jefferson, NY - I am one of the lucky ones who never lost power and have heat. Yea, it's cold out there and pray those who need warmth and food receive it. |

Pcroton 12:09 PM GMT em 05 de Novembro de 2012 Good Morning. 40F, Tinton Falls, NJ. Cloud cover prevented us from dropping to the projected 30-32 range. Let us hope the same continues for tonight. Then we moderate in temperatures. Unfortunately the storm seems not only a certainty but to be right in the sweet spot. A strong to severe nor'easter will apparently result. With the vigorous system off of NC and the very strong disturbance rapidly dropping in from Missouri it seems the perfect hookup is going to occur. With a deep low centered ~150 east of Point Pleasant, NJ, we are right where we want a nor'easter to be if we want a big strong storm (and in winter a crippling blizzard right to the coastlines). Of course at this time it is not what we want and not what our very fragile infrastructure needs. It would appear winds gusting well into the 40s inland, and gusting to and even above 60 at times at the immediate coastline, are likely. Of course, the hookup has not yet commenced, and depending on exactly where the main low develops is a big deal in these winter scenarios. A course 50 miles further east means we can take winds down 10mph. So let us hope for a more easterly solution. All signs point otherwise. [link to classic.wunderground.com] |
