88 People died in the storm and a number just narrowly missed death. Shouldn't Americans be sober instead of the excitement about elections?

Op,

You comments are unrealistic and unproductive the world does not stop with people frozen in fear because of a weather storm people are resilient and you pick yourself up and continue with your life by planning and preparing for your future.

We had trees fall onto power lines and we last power during the hurricane for a few days but this was not the worst storm we fared over the years we had an alternative energy source, food and water.

Currently we are expecting another coastal storm to pass through on Wednesday and Thursday with freezing rain, snow and winds, this is all part of life, and you prepare.

If I had to walk the three miles to our polling place for whatever reason then that is what I would have done.

OP is a total idiot who has very little knowledge of American history. In 1864 this country was involved in a devastating civil war yet the party that nominated Lincoln managed to hold a 2 day convention and an election, disrupted as it was, proceeded as planned.

Granted that Sandy was a tragedy, but when OP renders an "opinion" that the circumstances indicate that the USA is insane for going through with the electoral process only demonstrates his lack of intelligence in formulating a valid viewpoint.

My argument is about the present and morality of actions. Your argument is about historical indoctrination. Am I a fool for disbelieving what transpired on 9/11 or are you that fool for believing it and every other historical stuff shoved into you?

If future generations go by this falsified history, what sort of generation are you raising? I believe its clear just by that simple explanation who needs to rethink their ways.

Oh my, you will learn your lessons in this life or the next that you cant have this kind of attitude regardless of what is imposed on you. That you cant leave a fallen brethren behind and that you cant live in this world alone.

Its sad the world is in such a state. You need to change your mind set about life. Good luck.

I agree with your point about history being an assimilation; an indoctrination; and that because it is such it is probably false and biased; the question is to what degree.

I also see that the elections have become a formality and tradition in the face of impending socio-cultural collapse; thanks to elitist exploitation; i.e. a "top to bottom" effect, as opposed to the "bottom-up" threats that were evident durng the civil war example.

That said, the elections ARE a farce, an illusion because it is the top, the 'lack of balls and leadership' itself, that is the source of the collapse; meaning in this particular junction in "history“, nothing short of a revolt by the people against their own culture of acceptance and passivity will change anything.

Brilliantly said. This is why I said the election is a charade, unnecessary and shouldn't be happening. So the people who buy into this are about to be thought so. There wont be a winner.

Re: 88 People died in the storm and a number just narrowly missed death. Shouldn't Americans be sober instead of the excitement about elections?
It is very ridiculous for anyone to want to take part in this election especially after just barely escaping with their lives in this storm. The country barely escaped death and the next thing on the people's minds is their ritual? Stop this madness and let the world see that you are sane people.

After all, the storm was a game of probabilities and there was possibly no way of determining the trajectory or its implications. It could have been you who died in that storm. Or did you know enough about the storm that it wont hit you or you engineered it in such a way that it would hit, do some damage but you would still have room to have your elections? Perhaps you negotiated with nature and hope to still do if it decides to show its fury on the day of the elections?

For all you know, vast areas of the country could have been submerged or wiped out and the mere thought of that should make you pause and reflect on what just happened and how you could have been dead at the time you least expected most instead of running along for another election circus.

This storm has been a national test for all Americans to see if they will have feelings and respect for themselves, their lives and that of their fellow men. Even if your leaders are stringing you along, you all should say NO that you need to reflect on what just happened and not get excited with your change of clothes. You could have been dead and you should be thankful at this point.

You just had a close encounter with death and indeed some did die. Would anyone of these people crying about elections or even their politicians still do so if they were among the dead or lost someone close to them? Continuing in this election is complete disrespect to oneself, their fellow country men and complete disregard for the lives lost. It is recklessness at the very least and the path you are on could only lead to destruction.

Assuming this storm was even natural, how did you know that nature didn't intend on wiping out a huge chunk of the US? Or where you able to tame nature so that it could do it's thing but still leave room for you to have your election? You barely escaped with your lives and the next thing you want is your election. You guys should be sober now and stop your leaders from killing you all. The next storm that comes around might just not be gentle and wipe a substantial portions of the population out. Or would you be able to control the trajectory of that too? I wish you all the best.

Thanks. This was why I made this thread. A common sense approach to prove that this storm was engineered.

Your blowing it all out of proportion. It did not affect the vast majority of the country at all.
