High pitched beep on phone conversation.

no, it was a different noise altogether. more clear, louder and higher pitched. also i did look at my phone to make sure it wasnt a second call

no. i also dont go around spouting my mouth off on the internet

doesnt have to be something you said on the internet. maybe your work, maybe you made some purchases lately, maybe a family member did or said something?

couple days ago for several days on one of my main channels was mores code, got on my nerves, the people were talking and the mores code was beeping

same thing going on with my i phone 4. Sprint is my carrier. About 90% of the calls, about 2 mins in I hear a beep, almost as if the other person is on a land line and they are pressing a number on keypad, yet other person is on their cell phone as well. They don't hear it, I do though

It likely means the other person was recording the conversation. A lot of systems that record calls will sound a beep on the other end to let the person know they are being recorded. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this.

i have the same issue for a few yrs now. ill be having a conversation with friends or family and ill hear a loud chirp on my phone and the other person cant hear it. this happens a few times a week. any one have a clue? is my cell phone tapped?

PS ive have gone thru 3 phones in the 24mths so its not the phones.

I have had the same Beep on my phone for several months now, only on specific calls not all. It is a very distinctive high pitch double tone. It is not call waiting or accidentally touching the keypad or someone else pressing a number. I have my thoughts, some have already commented certain things that are probably true, just watch what you say on your phones.

I get such a beep if someone calls me while I'm already talking with someone on the phone. That way I can switch between callers if I want to.

This is common practice to monitor phone calls from poroleis that were convicted drug dealers and others involved in criminal activity. Your phone number was most likely put in the system as a type o. Nothing really to worry about. I know It would be nice though to contact someone to get it corrected.

I know what you're talking about op. It sounds like the person on the other line is accidentally pushing buttons when they aren't.

The line recordings for all Americans are part of the patriot act which will hopefully soon come to an end.

I'm sure everyone on this site is added to some sort of secret watch list.

I didn't feel as bad when I started paying attention to people calling in on the radio stations and I could hear the same beeps on the line for half of the people calling in.
