At the slower speeds the display would become erratic and suddenly jump from say 5 Deg down to 2 or 0 but the amount and direction it jumped was just random and unpredictable. Obviously this could cause some strange things to happen when slewing, tracking or aligning. The problem is that to obtain the slower speeds, the motors are being pulsed on and off rapidly.

Well actually if your mother's got the ear for it space is infinite so you can hear all sorts. If you hear something in that vibration maybe you too have the ear for it. Its all within you though as it is everyone once they decide to listen or inquire. Using your tires on a highway drive is not the best example to be honest.

Why don't you interpret the message you hear? Follow your Heart and it will make sense. I heard some intense message thru a tire once myself, apparently I got the message as I switched lanes and within a a few seconds the tire I heard on a truck next to me blew across the freeway and hit a car that moved up as I moved over.
