Reagan's tactics of pumping money into the economy were not that much different that what Bush and Obama have done. But his efforts were more productive in the short term. Thats why his presidency was successfull. People didn't like what he was doing with the budget, but for the average Joe, there was a visible improvement...and thats all that mattered at election time.
