42 months has nothing to do with 7 years at the end or tribulation. This is why you dont know what the 2 witnesses/candlesticks are since you dont know when it happened. The passage was fulfilled hundreds of years ago. Claiming it is still future is false christian-zionism scofield theology.

NOTICE Revelation 2:10 says some of you shall have tribulation 10 days. To those who remain faithful until the end of the age of grace a rapture will happen before the beginning of the 7 year tribulation.. THe key word is some of you will have tribulation 10 days(years) People are mislead into thinking there are only 7 years of tribulation. Revelation 2:10 tells you it is 10 days representing 10 years not 7. There are 3 sets of 42 months in the tribulation 42months times 2 is the 7 years tribulation but there is another 42 months people can't see and this is the destruction of the united states and the people taken into slavery. In the book of Job. Job had 7 sons and 3 daughters that tribulation came upon(This represents 7 years tribulation and the 3 years or 42 months prior to the 7 year tribulation.) Solomon had 7000 wives and 300 girlfriends again showing 7 being the stronger time of tribulation as wives are more important than girlfriends and daughters aren't as strong as sons, so the first 3 years before the last 7 years of tribulation won't be as afflicting as the last 7 if you have to endure all 10 instead of just 3.
