Have you ever waited 8 hours in emergency and them your told come back tomorrow? This happened to a good friend of mine this past Saturday. Was he in a 3rd world country? No. He was in Canada. This is the same friend whose father waited 2.5 years for hip replacement surgery. And whose father in law waited 1 year for eye surgery and almost went blind. |

The biggest HATE that is brewing right now (rightfully so) is the HATE for OBUMMERCARE and all of it's forced intrusions and how it is financed. At this point America needs to stop it's hate for universal healthcare, and re-think a system that would actually work for this country. But I am afraid, with all the public-ed idiots, that no one has enough of a brain to come up with a working idea. |

I moved to Canada in 2002, was finally granted permanent residency in 2006 and finally got to use the ER a few years later I was totally shocked at the 13 hr wait I had to put up with just to get someone, anyone, to look at my eardrum which was close to bursting due to bronchitis The people who lived all around me acted as if 8-16 hr waits were no big deal, and I was some kind of drama queen for objecting to it, but to me it seemed like some kind of primitive ghetto care worse was the fact that when I finally got to see the single doctor who in the ER, I had no idea whether he was an ass doctor, a kidney doctor or a foot doc...by that point it didn't matter He didn't even check my chest or get my pulse: I was in and out of his cubby hole in about 8 minutes if I wanted to see a specialist, like an ENT, I would have had to be recommended by the ER doc, and it was obvious he was not going to do that...seriously, I would have had to have my eardrum falling out of my head before they would indicate a visit to the ONLY ear/nose/throat specialist who visited my region every few weeks or so I was floored by the crappy attention which passes for universal care in Canada, if my region was an example. I came back to the US grateful for what we have here, but now worried that all of the idiots who want to be like the rest of the world are going to drag us down the same path to refugee-camp like medical care I had my eyes opened: seems universal health care's goal is to reduce everyone to the same level of care: shit |

It doesn't build any hospitals, provide physicians or so much as a bandaid! It's just scam for the insurance companies. I haven't been to the doctor in 15 years, I'm a self healer. I'd just as soon sit in my room and die then go to a clinic. I also live paycheck to paycheck. Budgeted out to have roughly $20 in between. This has worked just fine for 5 years. Now... Now I'm going to be forced to have $120 removed from every god damn check, for something I'll never fucking use, which results in me not having enough actual income to pay my god damn bills, you know, the fucking things I actually need. That's my beef with so called 'Universal' health care. Don't make me shoulder the bill for all those hypocondri's that are gullible enough to fall for big pharms nonsense. |

Universal healthcare promotes general welfare, not having it is an injustice that means some citizens are not protected/defended. One of the blessings of liberty is universal healthcare in most democracies on earth, and it is a blessing. etc etc Whats the point of being a nation if you can't look after your own? Ummm ....can't you read and logically process what you posted? It says ...." And secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity" Liberty means freedom .....so government can promote welfare(whatever that means cause it subjective) .....a long as it doesn't negate freedom and liberty(which isn't subjective) |
