Totally dead to the world. Kiss your sorry ass goodbye, radioactive nukka.

I thought the title of this thread was about some type of "homie alert". Detects the blackness or something. Nukka.

But wait.. they said there was no danger to the public, didn't they..?
Disregard the alert.. the .gov will tell you when to worry..
They know best, you know.. just ask them.

But, whatever you do.. don't talk to the downwinders..

Thats a pretty nifty and reliable device, I would call the NRC hotline and let them explain why you shouldnt worry. With 8 nuke plants having problems during or after Sandy you may be in a plume event, Palisades and Fermi down now too, all of is blowing your way. You can tape the call and upload it to you tube for documentation too.

24-Hour Ops Ctr for Emergencies
301-816-5100

NRC Waste, Fraud or Abuse
1-800-233-3497 (OIG hotline)

THIS ONE: Safety or Security Concern
1-800-695-7403

They will probably just lie but still...good luck, let us know what you find out.

Re: My NukAlert is going off (New Jersey)
Downwinders refers to individuals and communities who are exposed to radioactive contamination or nuclear fallout from atmospheric or underground nuclear weapons testing, and nuclear accidents. Currently, this article focuses on incidents in the United States, or caused by its weapons testing.

More generally, the term can also include those communities and individuals who are exposed to ionizing radiation and other emissions due to the regular production and maintenance of nuclear weapons, nuclear power, and nuclear waste. In regions near U.S. nuclear sites, downwinders may be exposed to releases of radioactive materials into the environment that contaminate their groundwater systems, food chains, and the air they breathe. Some downwinders may have suffered acute exposure due to their involvement in uranium mining and nuclear experimentation.[1]
