All of the Intellgent People I Know---Smoke Pot

Maybe you're hanging around with the wrong crowd. I'm a physicist, I know tons of remarkably intelligent people, other physicists, mathematicians, astronomers, chemists, all men of science and NONE of them are potheads. What are trying to do? Justify your addiction creating an illusion that it is good? Think twice buddy, think twice if you can.

Do you have any Doctor/Rocket Scientist/Brain Surgeon friends that have been smoking pot everyday for the past 30 years?

Exactly! Besides that, until now, weed is prohibited, which means that the only way to acquire it, is be illegal drug dealers. Being illegal drug dealers is not the only problem also, the problem is the supply chain that ends at them. I live in a country where this is done in plain sight and I know how bad it is. Do you people got any clue on how many children are lost to drugs traffic, just for you to "enjoy your bong"? MANY! Lots of children used to plant, carry and distribute it. Why? Well, they pretty much got no chance.

There's also the violence factor. Being illegal, means that the police is always on their neck. That brings them the need to always be armed and ready for a conflict. And more: drug dealers don't smug only pot, there are several other "substances" they deal with. Things that are really bad for you and make the "users" to become often violent due to the mental altered state. Also, the addiction to these other "things" is very strong, bringing the user to its knees, selling anything they have to sustain their addiction. And when the money runs dry, they see themselves in the need to steal, prostitution and even worse things.

Bottom line is: your addiction to pot is financing a huge international drug scheme, that destroys several lives, increases violence everywhere it touches and making the world a place a little bit worst everyday. With that in mind, do you still think potheads are intelligent?

Intelligence is not created by smoking weed.

I've met MANY stupid ass pot heads, as I've met many stupid ass non-pot-heads.

I smoke weed, and consider myself to be an open thinker.

Jeez, almost everybody I know smokes dope, that includes tenured professors, attorneys, hospital administrators, chemists, and quite a few other intelligent folks.

You are right, people smoking pot are productive in society.

I have five college degrees.

I noticed same trend.

Plus... I noticed I never see a sick person and am like, "Must be from all the pot he smoked."

Can't remember if it was Bill Gates or Steve Jobs but one of those dudes was an avid toker.

The people I know who are doing the best just smoke pot. The ones who are doing the worst are drinkers or pill takers.

I believe that people who have the idea that all potheads are lazy moochers have bought into the "reefer madness" stereotype. Most successful potheads have learned to keep their bongs and joints out of public view. Many of us are "in the closet" so to speak because it is an illegal activity even if we partake in the privacy of our homes. We learn to manage the risk of smoking pot in this way. There are bad drunks just as there are responsible drinkers. A successful, responsible, and productive drinker learns to enjoy a drink or three without being a dick to people around them and surely will not let alcohol ruin their careers.

Unfortunately, cannabis is still taboo (as it is proven by weed-haters who risk no consequence from authorities by being vocal about their disdain for cannabis) thus responsible and productive marijuana users who wish to maintain their pursuit of happiness without infringing on the rights of others are forced out of public view. What you have then is the view that the responsible, productive stoner is a MYTH and that the lazy, irresponsible stoner is the NORM and FACT.

Its sad really. Many of us would like to comfortable in our own THC-laden skin, but so far the path of least resistance/oppression is to keep quiet about our bongs, brownies, and buds and let intolerable bigots remain.... intolerant.
