You might want to look around on the net. Lots of angry people out there. People who own businesses are talking about "going galt". Not hiring,taking their own businesses down and letting all their employees go. Not buying anything other than what they need to survive even for Christmas and wrecking the comsumer economy. 1. cali is not a red state and is a huge producer.
2. cutting the food will not starve the people. more will be imported at LOWER COSTS from other countries which will, in turn, force down the prices here in the US so the "red staters" will make less money on their produce.

As more and more of the blue states crumble due to the ongoing collapse of the economy, the urban jungles in these states will tax all available resources they have left - and the red states will simply act as quarantine borders to keep the savages penned in - starved - and eliminated - mostly by their own hands. The Feds already spend most of their time trying to deal with their blue area slaves and the meltdown in progress. Good luck...

Bitch, please. You red states rely more on the fed dollars then the blue states. Most of the food you grow is GMO and we don't want it anyway. We have plenty of organic farms and don't need your shit.

Have you actually looked at an electoral map by county? Outside of the heavily populated coasts, California is deep red.

If you didn't want the GMO food [which you shouldn't] you would think the voters of California would have bothered to approve the labeling initiative.

The US eats about 189 million metric tons of food per year.
