I am in the same boat. I've been single for 6 years so I completely understand. It's nice to be single but yes I get lonely too, especially around the holidays.

Sure I can go out and pick up a guy at the bar but that is not me. I have young daughters and it is so important to me to be a good role model for them. I am old fashioned and I think that is what limits me in the dating scene. I could care less about looks, money, or age. It is the person inside that counts to me.

Besides I find that I am very alone in my beliefs. It is why I like GLP so much because I see like minded individuals. I couldn't imagine trying to talk to most men about my theories. I am even quiet on here.

I have just resigned myself to being the lonely lady with cats, haha.
