I thought about that for a while, and a good way to imagine that is to picture a ball. If you divide the diameter of the earth by the speed you get 428 seconds, or 7 minutes and 8 seconds for the Earth to shift past one position of itself during orbit.
In a day we travel just about 202 Earths in width, in a year 73,767 earths would be strung along like beads on a necklace.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 55360 The earth spins around we get dark and light, night and day and takes 26 thousand years to go around the Sun we are coming to the end of the 26 thousand years on the 21 dec 2012 the night skies we see the stars etc are the skies our fathers mayans talk about, may well be they are right as there is no human alive been at the 26 thousand year point all new to us as it was to the mayans. May God bless you all, open your eyes wake up the truth is coming.
