Debt/crash question
If/when the shtf and we have hyperinflation, will the debts I have (that are in dollars) be readjusted or would I owe what I owe?

For example, if I owe $100,000 and we have hyperinflation, seeing how the money is worth(less,) I should be able to pay it off easily...

correct?

Ah .. the sheeple dream .. something for nothing

Wrong.

Because the costs of living will increase faster than your income so the money available for paying debt will even become more rarer.

No. Money will be worth less and your debt will remain the same. You're jsut paying it off with a lower value dollar.

Re: Debt/crash question
You will be able to take worthless dollars out of the rain gutter and pay off your debt. So yes, essentially your debt becomes worthless as the dollar becomes worthless. BUT, tptb are fully aware of this and will certainly find a way to keep you forever enslaved to your debt via technology or something like that.

So do a bankruptcy now or pay it off you want a clean slate for what is coming, unless you are a real man with a ballsack hanging between your legs and you simply refute the debt and make a stand.

Fixed rates would be okay but all Taxes will go up with the inflation. They have riders on them.

Two things, either the debt gets readjusted or a new currency gets issued and the debt reflected upon the new currency. Anyone else saying different is talking out their ass. Chances are for number 2, above...

Before the crash - expect a debt run from the banks.

You owe what you owe - or we take your house.

Wrong. Expect little laws here and there that no one can figure out why they are passing, building up to something that triggers a panic, but its too late to take anything substantial out of the bank due to the prior laws enacted...

Yes, my speculation is as wrong as yours.

God, you're the expert eh?

These people would have allowed your debt to be paid off easily when that's how they control you.

...Right.

Next time you say 'wrong'...Make sure your point is legit - and not speculation.

i should think that if the contract says "dollars" then dollars it its no matter what. However i suspect contracts now are saying something like "legal tender". Everyone should scrutinize their new contracts, and, of course, some of the less new.

Check to see if some kind of law has been sneaking around in the government to be passed, or has already been passed.

Is the dollar still "legal tender" ! ! ! ?

If so/ or not remember this:

Hedge with silver. IF you believe hyperinflation is coming (I do). Then try to pile up at least 100 oz, more is better.

And in the event the currency completely changes, I really wouldn't know about you owing a bank $100,000 USD.

But it would probably if anything reduce your debt. Not that we will get paid nearly as much in a nwo currency.

You can argue tptb will confiscate them. But not their value.

Borrowing money is dumb, but in a hyperinflation scenario people will borrow to buy even a TV when the cost inflates faster than they can save...

When most folks sign a LOAN contract, there is a clause in there that allows the LENDER to "call-in" the loan.

In other words, the LENDER may demand payment-in-full at any time with as little as a 24 hour notice.

So, in some sort of fiscal crisis with LENDERS, payment-in-full may be your ONLY option.

It's crazy to think the interest rates were that high. Now 0.20% is what my bank was offering last I looked.

On the plus side IF you can get a loan, now is a good time to do it!
