GENERAL John ALLEN was not fired, arrested or any of that. So WHY PUBLICLY announce this?? I mean, he has a stressful, national security type of position of the highest, most important type! So they say all of this and let him still command all of those forces? Does not seem very proper.

Petraeus, in his function as CIA director, was not allowed to talk to the press. So, he used his proxy, his biographer. I saw this CNN interview last night with an Iraqi-American, who worked with Petraeus, was his friend and who was STUNNED by this news. Claimed it was nothing like Petraeus to have an affair. He was extremely careful with all matters he said! So...

The administration knows that Petraeus' biographer knows too much and that Petraeus is close to her, trusting her. Maybe no sexual relations, but that is another matter. So they build their case to ruin Petraeus, over the months, JUST IN CASE, something like this happens.

So his supposed mistress and biographer makes these comments at a speech. They were even on YouTube but deleted, likely in the interest of national security, more than a month ago. In the mean time, the hammer comes down on Petraeus and the scandal is launched.
