Fireball watch November 14th! Asteroid to whiz by Earth and Moon
There are 4 known Near Earth Objects coming closer than 5 Lunar Distance (LD) over next 12 months:
- OBJECT -- YYYY-MMM-DD - UTC -- LD/AU
2012 DA14 -- 2013-Feb-15 19:25 -- 0.09/0.00023
2012 VJ38 -- 2012-Nov-14 01:51 -- 0.6/0.0015
2010 GM23 -- 2013-Apr-13 23:00 -- 3.9/0.0099
2007 EO88 -- 2013-Mar-18 20:50 -- 4.4/0.0114

[link to ssd.jpl.nasa.gov]

2012 VJ38 is a small 6 to 12 meter asteroid discovered yesterday on November 12, 2012. It will make it's closest approach:
2012-Nov-14 01:51 -- Earth -- 0.0015 AU
2012-Nov-14 09:40 -- Moon --- 0.0036 AU

[link to ssd.jpl.nasa.gov]

After 36 observations since yesterday, orbit uncertainty is a 6 with 0 being good, and 9 being highly uncertain.

Being so new, this NEO is not yet on the list at [link to spaceweather.com]

If there is debris or other objects accompanying it perhaps we will see some meteors blaze through the atmosphere.

By the way, I think the closer approach of asteroid 2012 DA14 on February 15, 2013 is very significant... but we shall see.

Great catch. tom's asteroid flyby page is still under construction. Do you know if it's visible at night and about where in sky. size? I'm one of those people that hear that High pitched noises. As soon as i hear the volume pump up i check space weather, the above and earth's busy neighborhood. vj38 is in red within earth's hill sphere. astronomically challenged as far as coordinates though. I agree feb 15, 2013 looks very interesting but size? yes size does matter. cyndi

Probably not, but eventually something big and nasty will hit. It's inevitable. Sadly though, it could be in 500 years time :-(

Courtney Brown 2012-2013 earth change experiment with remote viewing points to a global coastal flooding event. Destruction "seen" on June 1, 2013 target date indicate one or more events occurred prior. Speculation is asteroid hitting ocean.

One source (Mythi) says 3 countries have stockpiled conventional explosives undersea in one spot to create a false flag impact epicenter if we don't get the natural hit expected.

Another possible cause for global coastal flooding would be a pole shift or a 12.0 earthquake

Did anyone in Aussie see planet x (niburu) making it's appearance in the vicinity of the southern cross during the eclipse? According to a guest on no name show, that's where it's suppose luminate from and around. Not much time left before 12/21/2012. I'll just keep my eyes on the latest possible fire ball. cyndi
