Ham Stuffed Turkey!!!!
This is what I'm thinking I'll make this year for thanksgiving. Sure, we've all heard of a chicken stuffed in a duck stuffed in a turkey. But lets see peoples faces when the Thanksgiving Turkey is giving birth to layers of spiral cut ham.

Who's with me?

I don't get the joke, but it's still funny!

No, It was about thanksgiving day turkey bounty forth slices of delightful ham spiral cut, and the exchanging of flavors.

I don't know why, but I find this curiously appealing. I might actually have to try it.

Re: Ham Stuffed Turkey!!!!
It's like the "half" spiral cut ham I'm talking about. I found it at the store the other day. I thought to myself, darn I could stuff this in a turkey. And it was like being delivered upon. Ahhh What? mmmm....

Leave the pigs head sticking out of the turkey. Tell em you found it that way in the woods.

Re: Ham Stuffed Turkey!!!!
Sounds pretty tasty, but if you're going to ham it up you might as well get some more pig in there...you should slide strips of bacon and a little apple butter or something under the skin of the turkey before you cook it. You could alternatley wrap the turkey in bacon, but I don't know how bacon would fare with the extended cooking time that comes with a good sized bird, even with basting.
Wouldn't it be great to heal the world, with only a song?

Re: Ham Stuffed Turkey!!!!
This is a family tradition for us - we call it a Tammy!
I debone the turkey, then wrap it around a spiral cut ham with a brown sugar/spice rub. I then use skewers and cooking twine to "sew" up the turkey. We then wrap the turkey in bacon...cook for approx 5.5 hours...and it is divine!!!! So much better than a turducen!
