If the rich pay 10% and you pay 10% that's equal and that means they've paid their "fair share". But we already tax the rich at a higher rate (fair? why?) because of class warfare based, self centered, ignorance! Don't go into that...well Romney only paid 13% BS...if you're too stupid to understand that capital gain taxes are on investments which were purchased with income that was already subject to "income tax" then you're too stupid to join the conversation, STFU and learn to think critically. If a rich guy pays 10% on his earnings of 20 Mil, then he pays $2 Mil in taxes...as an individual(annually) is he ever going to derive $2 Mil in benefits from the government he is forced to prop up? Maybe we should cap the amount of money(& % rate) the tax system can have access to from any one individual.

Allowing people to keep more of their own money does not equal getting money from the government. It's simply a reduction in funds that those select people send to the government. People on welfare pay no taxes and receive money from the government. And because I know there's an idiot thinking it, no, I'm not in favor of corporate welfare either. Corporate welfare is even worse than social welfare.

Anyway, I agree with the OP. Those that don't pay taxes shouldn't be allowed to vote. I don't understand those that argue for EVERYONE being allowed to vote. We don't just let people drive without a license, why shouldn't there be minimum requirements to vote? Otherwise, fuck it. Let everyone vote including the children. Children are people, too.
