Saddletramp is correct. In additon, there were rumors that this was going to happen to bank debit cards as well and also the possibility of a bank holiday after the elections. As a precaution we decided to put some cash aside for this type of emergency and recently purchase some extra items (motion sensor lights, oatmeal, soup, 20lb flour, rice, sugar, et). We store it in those plastic storage containers for dog food.)

BTW - there is a killer, very simple recipe for making bread and flour is cheap just using flour, water, yeast and salt. Has hard crust like french bread - moist in center.


Recipe vary a bit. The one we use is 19 hours for raising.
