It's based off of the Patriot Missile system and it's obviously more modern. In terms of capability, it is much more efficient and cheaper. However, the PAC-3 has far more range and just as accurate, just more expensive. Israel decided to go with their own design because of the costs for stupid rockets launched from some douchebags backyard. The Patriot missile is like shooting a Lamborghini at a Pinto while the Iron Dome was more like shooting a Kia at a Pinto. |
