We all picked up some stuff in the consumer markets, but the best of all of our gifts were the ones that were previously used. I got a bunch of books and tools that had to be worth ten times what my family actually spent, and because they did it without worrying about price, they really thought it out and I couldn't have asked for anything better. I'm all about sending a big 'screw you' to the wal-mart's and Apple's of the world, but I think it's still good to give gifts to those you love, and we shouldn't stray away from that, but why does it have to be new? and why do some expensive gifts always feel like they were bought because they were expensive? Because sometimes they are. I know I've tried to show I care by lazily spending more money, and realized that that's not the spirit of gift giving. Giving a gift should be about sacrifice and personal understanding, where it truly does come from the heart, instead of the pocket book. To just give someone you love something they need and will appreciate, whether it comes from a store, a pawn shop, or your own belongings is a strong and meaningful gesture that only the vain and superficial would look down upon. It would be the most heartwarming thing to hear in the news that second hand stores and Mom and Pop stores around the world have been emptied by Christmas shoppers and that Wal-Mart and Apple are facing the worst budgeting crisis's in history as they go into the new year with rock-bottom profits. |

The guy came out before the store opened, gave out tickets to everyone. Then they did a raffle drawing. Well, apparently, this one young moron who was there with his mother didn't like the lottery result, and wasn't picked So he started flipping out and cussing everyone and kicked over an electronics display. The cops stopped by a few moments later. |
