What if the real date is Nov 21 2012 not Dec 21 2012. Nobody would expect that. You know like a thief in the night.

their calendar is based on astrology. they've been right up to this point.

no reason to think they are wrong.

also, nothing bad will happen on 12-21-12.

To know the end date, you have to know the start date. There are actually a few differing opinions. But if you combine the Mayan calendar with the Hopi Indian and Hindu prophesies, it's not a single day anyway. It's more like this begins the time of the end.

What if they are wrong altogether, after all God does say that no man will know when the end will come.

Considering the Mayans believed that th world ended every night and began a new every morning. I would say that is plausible

I think the fear should be in what IF the Mayan were correct .... about everything... and TPTB gave us all false dates, ect.

Re: What if the Mayans were off a month?
This is the Winter Solstice date (shortest day of the year, followed by the days getting longer): December 21 2012, 11:11 GMT

The calendar targets this by intention, when the Sun reaches its southern-most excursion of the year (solstice). This is happening at 11:11 GMT this year. Then, it 'reverses' its southern moving excursion as appears in the sky, and 'heads' north to the summer solstice point (June 21) in the sky in reference to a known landmark, then, the days start getting 'shorter'.

Re: What if the Mayans were off a month?
Off by a month? Why that would be criminal negligence!

We are currently undergoing a magnetic pole shift that is ramping up. Has anyone considered the effects of the core shift upon the magnetic eliments embeded within our crust in magnetic alignment with the previous shift? To me it seems a major factor in crustal displacement(I tend to equate it much like a shifting gravitaional field -electromagnetic interactions - in some senses the effects largely localized and in others regionalized). What about the pizeoelectric elements put under mechanical stress and the concommitent interactions - earthquakes, vulcanism, weather and oceanic, the whole biosphere in transition. Soon I think events will ramp up even more. In an electrically interactive Universe (local Sol system specific) would not a massive discharge from our sun even though it's not earth directed also effect our planitary equilibrium indirectly as oposed to direct interaction in this mobile that is our solar system. Remember even our waters will in some senses be conductors and in other act like a capacitors electrolite. Even solar erruptions will have frequency effects as a discharge occurs and our moon beyond gravitationally, how electrically will it interact/co-react within the dynamic mobile? Remember charged particles not only have electrogravitic interaction, but magnetic and photonic as well (not to mention elements of the nuclear forces as well).
