no, but in new york city, we distinguish who we are based on roots. everyone is "french-american, chinese-american, irish-american..." we all honor our roots, history and tradition.

there are even parts of the city divided up by nationality.

we get the culture through stubborn grandparents :)

My grandmother was Italian, and she would still answer the phone "Pronto!" until she died

plus, she recommending drinking vermouth and some vino tinto every day to keep the heart young
