The spirit of the same school is usually represented by Bardon amongst the Hermetics. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28196275 His last book, Magick Without Tears is actually one of his best. Kenneth Grant, his student noted that even after his drug use, his mind was very keen. Many people in the occult DO go insane, even his 'magical son'm Frater Achad (C.S. Jones). It's just the nature of the work. His 'wifes' and partners very the literal vessels of magical forces, some of which were not the purest and beneficient. |

Without him, the 60's counterculutre wouldnt have happned quite the way ti did, and thus MOST things that have and are happening wouldnt be the way they are now. Crowley gets all this bad rap, but no one ever calls Timothy Leary a satanist when he in fact said on numerous occasions that he is in fact carrying on the work of Crowley. No one ever realizes that Crowley also said Freemasonry is the most evil organization on the planet either. He is just an easy target, much of which he intended to bring on himself to get only those really worthy of gaining the true gems to really find them. |

Exposed himself to women in public, raped hookers. And by partners you mean homosexual parters. And by Insane you mean souless. |

From my experience you have to be spiritually balanced to even start such kind of readings. Accept it that you would want to throw the book in the fire but keep on going on for the gold nuggets you will find in there. I would not go onto Crowley first without reading the warnings of his teachers. Going insane is too a kind of astral attack when you start going onto a territory they don't want you to know about. Learn protection before magic. |

Aleister Crowley, otherwise known as the Beast 666, shared membership of the Golden Dawn with W B Yeats, and publishers with D H Lawrence. Now in a beyond-the-grave autobiography, he recounts his own vocation, his practice of sex magic, and his bruising encounters with his contemporaries. The great magus, whose own world-conquering creed The Book of the Law was written in Cairo in 1904, was according to him, no murderer, but a prophet and practitioner of all kinds of sexual freedom and new magical systems. Description of the book I, Crowley: Almost the Last Confession of the Beast 666 on Amazon. |
