Egypt's foreign minister has announced that a ceasefire in Gaza will begin at 19:00 GMT Wednesday. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that a deal had been reached.

This is a pattern that has been showing for quite some time now. The world reaches the brink, we all step back, breathe, and move forward towards a shared desire for peace. Naturally, squirmishes happen, and people die, but for the most part, the world is moving towards peace not DOOM!

Israel/Hamas etc.: "brother's" squabbling. Both too arrogant and self-righteous to admit their own part in this war.

I relate this to my own family. So many problems that exist in my own family reduce to this same arrogance and lack of understanding for the other person's perspective.

Maturity: whether individuals or countries, as we mature we learn to be less judgemental and consider the perspectives of others. Will this happen in our generation? Hard to know. However, I do know that none of us want to die horribly in a holocaust of some sort. We will all do our part to avoid this.
