The Mayans could care less about any of our calendar dates, months, or years,...there is no such thing as December to the Mayans. The Mayans end their Calendar on an astronomical event...The Galactic Alignment that happens once every 26,000 years PERIOD!!!!!

It's funny all my life a date has pushed for doom, y2k, Prince gonna party like it's 1999 came and went, now 12/21/2012, but no other date has been on the back burner for when this one comes and goes. I have to wonder what date will be set next for the end of the world...I will come like a thief in the night.

The talking heads are the #1 way the sheeples are kept informed and under control. Perhaps a fraction of 1% of the population are aware of the "possibilities" that we on GLP think about on a daily basis. Most folks have no idea what is going on and how close we are to some kind of doomsday.

Think of the panic, the hoarding, the crimes, and despair that would grip the nation, even the world, if a lot more folks suddenly started paying attention. Would you pay your next house payment if you believed the financial system was going to fail along with maybe the entire west coast? Or would you take that money and buy food to survive on?

The government has to debunk and poo-poo the events we "nut-cases" are preparing for. If we are made into laughing stocks...we will not be followed by the masses. No one wants to be laughed at. Showing big, fat, "preppers" who make fools of themselves keeps the sheeples from jumping on the band wagon.

The show must go on. The money must keep flowing into the stores and banks. Profit cannot be disrupted! They can't save everybody so it is best a few just walk into the void with the same stupid and trusting look on their faces.

Ignorance is bliss. Everything is fine, nothing is going to happen, the Myans could not save themselves (giggle giggle) and you do not want to look stupid do you?

By the time they figure it out it will be too late. The shelves will be empty, the stores sold out or looted. Then someone will look at them and ask them why didn't they prepare? Of course FOX will not be on the air then. There will be no one to tell them what to do next.
They become victims. They watch their children die.

Then everyone wakes up and life is wonderful and it was all a dream. Let's get some ice cream!

I am intrigued by this date. I understand that the Mayan's had to pick some date to end their calendar and that their calendar was based on the cycle of our solar system, which is about 26,000 earth years in duration. I also understand we've been able to convert the Mayan calendar end date to our current calendar which is 12/21/2012 and this date is an arbitrary number. That is not the part that intrigues me though.

What I find most interesting is that there are multiple other cultures & religions that also coincide with this date or rather time-frame.

There have been too many coincidences lately; whether it be Biblical prophecy, "new age" ideas or prophecy from the indigenous tribes of the America's...they all seem to point to this date or rather, time-frame, given the events that have been unfolding before our eyes. Granted, you have to dig for some of the information so you can connect the dots, but once you have connected the dots, what becomes even more amazing is seeing how many other people act or are completely blind to all of this...

We've had increased seismic activity with increasingly larger earthquakes; volcanoes that have been dormant for centuries are starting to wake up; one polar ice cap is melting while the other is expanding; weather events have been breaking records year after year; unexplained, mass animal die-off's; plagues; drought; escalating violence; and I could go on...

All the while the so called "experts" such as, meteorologists, biologists, geologists have either been "baffled" or unable to explain the unprecedented, record breaking or record setting events that are occurring. While at the same time anthropologists, astronomers, archaeologists and the like, have been making "new" discoveries almost every day which, oddly enough have been proving or clarifying what has been written in many ancient texts or spoken of in the oral histories passed down through the ages, especially in regards to faith/religious based text.

Even for a skeptical person such as myself the evidence is compelling...
