Its to say "thanks" for the harvest and other good things. You could actually just say "thanks" everytime you eat something but to do this multiple times a day, every day of the year gets kinda lame. I am Catholic/Christian. I dont like anything about it except the manger..and the mass.. absolutely nothing. the only relief for me is Easter here in Spain it is absolutel beautiful! and truly what Easter is.. the rest I find an exaltation in consumerism and selfishness..I am not judging ..just my point of view.. |
