Why would the UN want the U.S to keep Cannabis illegal?

Who in their right mind would want to legalize a plant that would replace Big Pharma, stop Mexico’s #1 export into the US, replace oil, rubber, plastic, cure cancer, cause peace, replace textile, replace forestry, bankrupt cartel smugglers, kill the high costs of cancer treatments, and replace a million other things that cause harm…..why would anyone want to do that? especially with something that could be almost free to the people to do these things with………Why?
