South Jersey Report, Something horribly wrong here
Those explosions last night, were not the cause of an earthquake, I have no idea what caused it, but I can tell you we have a thick smoke, with a strange odor in the atmosphere. I never seen anything like it.
This is not Fog. I hope others will comment on this!

This is all we know at the moment.

Ground forces are moving in to intercept.

More info will be released on a need to know basis.

You are most definitely under a dense fog advisory. Calm down. [link to www.weather.gov]

Yeah, no worries, I'm about 1/4 mile from oyster creek, the oldest nuke plant in the USA, probably just got another crack in its core, quick release, nothing to see, move along.

Op, can you please describe the strange odor? I'm up here in North Jersey, Hudson County to be exact, and this morning has been truly strange to say the least. Went to bed around 11pm and woke up suddenly at 12:13am...the exact time of this so called eq in South Jersey. I by no means felt any kind of jolt so maybe this is nothing more than a coincidence. Here's where it gets strange: I woke up again at approximately 4am to a strange, heavy odor coming in my apt from the outside. I had left numerous windows opened last night. If I had to describe it, I'd say it smelled similar to sewer gas. It was very strong. Around 6:30am my boyfriend woke up for work and told me he woke up around 3am and smelled something similar. We are nowhere near the epicenter of the eq. I didn't even find out about the eq until 7am from the news. Something really strange is going on...

Why does New Jersey smell like the smell of a fire? I love when you wake up and smell bacon.

Re: South Jersey Report, Something horribly wrong here
northern delaware here. I did not notice any shaking from the New Jersey tremor, but the air had a heavy SOMETHNG in it

around 6 am when I got up.

No odor but a very smudgy haze, not usual.

Last night was crystal clear for much of the night.
