I saw the new movie Lincoln last night - Great Movie ! Go see it!

Lincoln the movie is just another attempt to rewrite history. This is actually what Abraham Lincoln said:

"I have no purpose, directly or indirectly, to interfere with the institution of slavery where it exists. I believe I have no lawful right to do so, and I have no inclination to do so." (1st Inaugural Address, March 4, 1861)


"If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that. What I do about slavery, and the colored race, I do because I believe it helps to save the Union; and what I forbear, I forbear because I do not believe it would help to save the Union." (Letter to Horace Greeley, August 22, 1862

The truth is that Lincoln did what he did to preserve the union and to try and remove the rights of the individual states to secede from the union. That is what Lincoln killed. That is the legacy of Lincoln.

It was funny to see how politics back then is very similar

Tommy Lee Jones will probably get best supporting actor.

I just read about that part of American history. It is funny that the Repug party was the progressive party back then, and the Dems were the southern status quo party. 150 years later, it has reversed.

And accurately so. I would love to see the faces of some people in the theater when the movie started to reveal the real historic nature of their beloved Democratic party. Hats off to Spielberg in showing real history and debunking the BS propaganda of the Left these days.

Abe Lincoln was the greatest president this nation has ever

had. That's probably why Lincoln has the best memorial.
