The second instance of that letter ("B") transposes into a different letter than "R" ("O" for example). The 3rd time a "B" shows up it might transpose to "Y"...and so on. Letter frequency is of no use in a code like this and most others used in WWII. |

Just as WW2 broke out, Polish mathematicians Marian Rejewski and his colleagues Jerzy Rozycki and Henryk Zygalski were the ones to break the Enigma Code. They built replicas of the Enigma and gave them to British and French authorities as a gift.. |
