I went out today and purchased a S&W MP15-22 rifle and heard an interesting comment from one of the clerks. Another waiting customer was commenting out loud on the long lines and wondered if this was a black friday sale. The clerk overhead and said no way. The customer behind me asked if this was related to the re-election and the possibility of gun rights being stripped away.

The clerk responded that this was bigger than the election. We all started asking what was he talking about. Apparently in the last 2 weeks many ex-military and LE personnel have been coming into the store and buying assault rifles, tons of ammo, etc. Many of them have heard through their active duty contacts that the SHTF in the next 30 days or so and that they should be extra prepared.
