Re: Microsecond flashes of light coming downward from the sky at daytime, barely visible
i noticed it 2 weeks ago in frankfurt germany on two days.

it was pulsating behind the clouds..
it was very freaky because it was just in one particular part in the sky..but very intense..there were no light sources that strong from the ground to reflect on

I;ve seen this it's like the background lighting on a game when its too bright for a split second ,only it's in real life weird!!

So it is not just here in US.

no been happening here for at least a year....also a new type of low lying cloud that seems to reflect nearly all the light from street lamps, makes the cloud glow a dull orange even when its really dark out.
i live on top of a high hill and have at least a 15 mile unobstructed view of the malvern hills, but of late i cant see over these damn clouds its weird,iv looked at this veiw all my life?

Re: Microsecond flashes of light coming downward from the sky at daytime, barely visible
I've noticed square rainbow colored patches in the sky lately with not a inkling of rain.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17984635

Oh I have been seeing these pretty often as well! They are little block rainbows, I tend to see them in the middle afternoon/evening as the sun is lower in the sky. They are beautiful but odd looking as I have really only noticed them in the last few months to maybe a year or so...I'm wondering if it some kind of particle in the atmosphere that has an odd reflection, ie. chemtrails (not like ice crystals).
 Quoting: MissionInvisible

sundogs... You can see the rainbow colored patch without the halo effect commonly depicted in sundog photos.

[link to en.wikipedia.org]
Sundogs are made commonly of plate-shaped hexagonal ice crystals in high and cold cirrus clouds or, during very cold weather, by ice crystals called diamond dust drifting in the air at low levels. These crystals act as prisms, bending the light rays passing through them with a minimum deflection of 22°. If the crystals are randomly oriented, a complete ring around the sun is seen — a halo. But often, as the crystals sink through the air they become vertically aligned, so sunlight is refracted horizontally — in this case, sundogs are seen.
 Quoting: ANHEDONIC

Sundogs..isn't it reassuring that they have a name...? It feels like normal...no, it is not. And there were no "sundogs" before the 90-es.

Think of the oil spill under a car. If it drops on water, it create a thin layer on the top. A thin layer with rainbow colored edges. Sundogs are similar matter.

I see the flashes going downward toward the earth. Mostly I catch the movement, rather than seeing the light itself.

Re: Microsecond flashes of light coming downward from the sky at daytime, barely visible
As I was walking to get in a vehicle in a parking lot, I had noticed a flock of birds (maybe geese) quite high in the sky and it seemed odd to me for some reason. Anyways I had gotten into the vehicle and then my mother had gotten in afterwards and she said to me did you see that in the sky??

Well, I immediately thought of the birds but said did I see what?? She said that flash of light!! I said no I hadn't. She said it was hard to describe and I asked her did it look like lightening?? No was her reply, she said it was just a quick flash of light that appeared to have come from the sky!!

So now after reading this thread and my moms first hand account as witness to this phenomenon I will be ever more diligent in my own sky gazing.

been seeing this for a couple weeks now (never noticed or seen before), after ear ringing and crunching started about a month ago. Kind of looks like swirling dots of light/energy in sky along with random slower circular clear particles drifting down to earth. Yesterday while looking at the sky for a while a swirling portal type thing appeared that seemed to be sucking in dark light/energy. Anyone else experiencing similar things?

Certain types of meteorites impact at such high velocity that ALL their mass is converted to energy, hence the flash.

Those are most likely remnants of chemtrails:-(
 Quoting: emerald_glow

I see these all the time in the NY area. Assuming they're to the right or left of the sun, they're sundogs, reflections of sunlight from high ice crystal clouds. They look like cut off rainbows. Lovely to look at but otherwise unrelated to chemtrails.

 Quoting: Redstorm2000

This is easily related to chemtrails, you just need to use your brian.

Picture what happens to water when there's a layer of oil on the top... It creates a visual 'sheen' with rainbows and interesting patterns.

Certain reflective aerosols in the atmosphere will result in brighter, more spectacular light phenomena seen from below, thanks to physics and the sun.

Whether or not it's natural to begin with, doesn't rule out that chemtrails can bring them about.

I wonder if anyone noticed them. They so brief, that I cannot say with full awareness they were there...All I can say, I saw a very short something, lighter than the surrounding sky coming downward toward the Earth. It is more like a guess, a feeling, but it happened repeatedly in the past 2 weeks.

Anyone can verify? ( I know, there will be no shortage in debunkers:-))

I have seen them too. Atleast 6 times this year since July.

Wow! I thought it was my imagination. I saw two times last year. I'm in Brazil.
