Yes, we have all done bad things. That is one of the main reasons people seek God: forgiveness. Church has nothing to do with it, at least not any church with walls. True Biblical Christianity teaches that the Church is not a building, but a body, composed of Jews and Gentiles that love our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ, to whom we belong. We are ALL bad people, yourself included. The only difference is that a child of God will at some point in their life awaken to their sin and idolatry, repent, and seek God to forgive them of their wickedness. I used to hate the very thought of God, but through HIS work in my life (and not mine own), I was awakened to His truth and shown the error of my ways. Praise Him!

Interesting that you quoted that verse...I was re-reading Genesis this morning and thought about the part of the verse I highlighted (I changed what you had highlighted):

"your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods"

The original sin, as you said, re-packaged in the "new"-age philosophy of "you are God" and "open your third eye".

Satan, using the original deception of Adam and Eve, and still being successful today with that line of thought....I guess mankind's ego hasn't gotten any smaller over time...

clarification: I didn't mean that Bible prophecy will save your soul. Only Jesus' cross can save any soul, when that soul accepts His Lordship. I meant that recognition of fulfilled Bible prophecy can bring you to an understanding that Jesus is God and that He is coming soon, and can bring you and understanding of His Sovereignty and your need for Him and His salvation which He so freely gives.

See, here's the thing: when someone creates a thread ridiculing, mocking, or attacking my religion, I feel compelled to respond. That is not the same thing as a non-Christian like you entering a Christian thread about a religious topic that doesn't interest you. As far as you not being a hater, why create a thread trying to irritate the religious? You are as fake as they come, and you're not fooling anyone.

Well since you asked...

I returned to Christianity after a 10 year drug addiciton. Did a long term program in a Christian rehab. I already had forgotten more Bible than most people will ever know, but reading it this time, it all began to make more sense.

Anyway...shortly after that I read a book about how the Catholic Church took over Christianity, destroying the Hebrew element and replacing it with Emperor Worship and Paganism.

I had an awakening that day. I realized this world is just like the Matrix. Every thing around us is a lie. A fabrication.

I started researching things...and soon crossed paths with the truth about 9/11 and that lead me here. That was about 5 or 6 years ago,

I used to be one of the preachy ones. I apologize. That isn't the way to win anyone to Christ. Anyhow...
