i have heard in the new age community that satan and our ego, our the 7 ego sins are the same thing, the sins referring to greed,lust, pride, lazy, envy, gluttony, hatred which are based on fear consciousness, being separate from God.

people are corrupt, ALL people. Doesn't matter what religion, or belief system you come from. Were all broken and in need of being restored.
Restored with the ability to love each other, serve each other, this is how God created us to be.

Truth is not a religious belief, or a "to-do" list, or set of commandments, rules, behaviors, it's none of these...Truth is a person named Jesus.

Read about him in Isaiah 14 - He was created as God's highest angel but he allowed his beautiful pipes(voice,musical endowments), beauty and knowledge and desire to be worshipped to overtake him in pride. He rebelled against God and influenced 1/3 of the angels to do the same.

They have dominion of the air and the earth now because Satan took control when Adam and Eve relinquished it in the garden by sinning and following Satan in rebelling against the word of God.

But God has forgiven Adam and Eve and sent his own Son, Jesus Christ - God the Son who created the world and everything in it to leave heaven, be born as a man, keep the commandments ON OUR BEHALF, AND PAY THE PENALTY FOR SIN ON THE CROSS.

Satan has access to God's throne room where he is called the Accusser of the Brethren... he's constantly accussing chistians and their behavior before God... and Jesus is our Advocate...

But soon, when Jesus brings his bride(believers) to heaven in the rapture(Rev.7:9-17), Satan will be thrown out of heaven onto earth where he'll inhabit the anti-christ.(Rev.11 and 13)

Jesus will defeat Satan in the end and cast him into the lake of fire.

You fail to mention the path of choosing neither Satan or God.

if you replace Jesus with the sun and Satan our ego or fear consciousness and cast into the lake of fire maybe refers to a solar burst from the sun or an engulfment from the sun. The Purification or the Harvest is done by Jesus, or the sun.
