The benefits of hemp are so intense that it has led many to believe that the plant has the capacity to reverse the Greenhouse Effect; as well as aid in purifying the air, water, and soil. Not only does the plant offer an assortment of physical, industrial and economical benefits, but hemp also provides advantages in nutrition, farming and even body care. Save Trees: A worldwide switch to hemp plant paper could do wonders for the Earth. The planet smiles upon the hemp plant, which allows near-extinct species to no longer worry about losing their natural habitat. Additionally, hemp paper is much easier to make, costs less to generate and lasts much longer. [link to www.hemp-guide.com] And it's even easy to grow . . . . |

WalkerTalker2 User ID: 28731015 United States 12/01/2012 11:19 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I am a Washington State resident. Hemp farming would be awsome. We still have to worry about the federal government interfering in our affairs- they have been very silent until now. Over half the US has some kind of derminialized marijuana statute, medical or now, legalized marijuana! The government needs to rescdule cannabis to schedule 2 so the feds can get out of the way. We also have the pesky UN charter- (an arcaic piece that could be used to bring UN troops to our soils). We are legalizing marijuana up here in 5 days (December 6th). Anyone who is physically on Wasghington State ground can posses up to one ounce. Please come up to visit us and celebrate the new freedom. Several bills loom to allow hemp farming, though medical marijuana licensed people can grow up to 16 plants at a time. Would that be enough to create commerce? WalkerTalker2 |

There should definitely be an application process to determine who gets in. We could crowdsource a high-tech cannabis commune! I already have most of the industry data aggregating into an auto-tagging system, which allows for minimal effort to further organize the valuable data into a collaborative wiki that is consistently up-to-date with industry trends. I created a newsletter that lists all new articles/forum posts/ patent apps / etc. out for you every day - clearly stating which company/products/trends are discussed in the articles. It is definitely the most comprehensive news source for cannabis! (& I have searched nearly everywhere for such a comprehensive system!) I had planned to possibly charge for monthly access due the value of the data, but am not going to do that yet. I would much rather just find some people in the industry who want to collaborate (remotely or preferably on shared land)via pull motivation, driven by the ideas that we create & deploy together, through logical industry trend analysis & proven business methods. The sky is the limit when you have a group of highly motivated people truly driven to do (nearly) the same thing. Lets do this! If people are serious, continue to post on this thread & I will post an application, though if anybody else has a better method, please speak up now, thanks! |

But several states now want to resume hemp farming, and two states voted this month in favour of legalisation of cannabis. Could change be in the air? [link to www.bbc.co.uk] |

WEBSITE Signup for a geographic area & a specific type of product/service that you want to offer when people in the same geographic area also post similar interests, you will be notified of them. Helping people driven by cannabis to find each other, be automatically informed about the industry, collaborate on/crowdsource industry data, deploy new businesses (created by the networks formed through our online community), and fund new products through crowdfunding. We could potentially even have a research community that is developing patents that will be open to everyone (to ensure pharmaceutical companies do not have legal control over some of the best variations of cannabis (many of which have yet to be developed!)). |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 28840841 United States 12/01/2012 12:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Obviously i am referring to hemp as well as the psychoactive cannabis. Hemp is not as profitable right now since we cant grow it on a large scale, so our best bet would be to focus upon cannabis right now. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21357052 Why can't we grow it on a large scale? You gotta start somewhere. |
