The Sonic Dreamer (OP) User ID: 19453308 United States 12/03/2012 02:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Before I actually tried it, I thought it would taste gross as well! I wondered, will the butter curdle in the coffee? Will it be oily on top of the coffee? It tastes like a really creamy cup of coffee- as if you added heavy cream to your coffee instead of half & half. A key point is to whip it after the butter melts- I use a $6 battery powered one-hand blender. It froths the coffee to appear as a latte. The first week I began drinking the bulletproof coffee, I swear my brain felt super-charged!!! Now, key notes: 1. The butter is *unsalted* 2. The butter *must* be GRASSFED. If you do not know the difference between pastured (aka grassfed) cattle, and "conventional" (aka grainfed) cattle, please research! Cattle in Europe is barred from eating grain! In the U.S., the govt. subsidized corn and grain production, which then gets fed cheaply to cows which live in tight pens and stand in their own shit their entire life! You are what you eat. The best butter is to find a local farmers market, and buy some fresh made grassfed, unsalted butter. Yes, it is going to be more expensive...but, it will have likely been churned less than 48 hours prior to you purchasing it, and you just might buy it from the person who actually churned it! But if it is working well for you I find it interesting!! Never heard of this before and I thought I've tried some strange health tactics hahaha "Only one candle left to burn now, before the darkness comes" "Happiness consumes itself like a flame. It cannot burn for ever, it must go out, and the presentiment of its end destroys it at its very peak." "But what is Hope? I have never purchased anything from his website, and likely never will. I understand he needs to try and monetize and profit from his unique ideas and forward way of thinking. (The man was a former computer programmer and "hacker" and retired in his early 30s. He has since moved on to experiment with hacking "the human computer"; that is, the human body and brain. Before calling me a shill, did you actually go to the website? Anyway, people you should experiment with eating healthy fats. First of all, educate yourself on what you eat. When I hear someone say, "Oh, but eating non-GMO, organic, and grassfed is too expensive, and it takes too much time to cook with fresh vegetables and cuts of meat" what I really hear is, "I am not worth it. I would rather sacrifice my health, my body, my looks, my lifespan, my quality of life, my sex life, my intelligence, and the level of toxins in my body, by eating pre-packaged food-flavored-poison like t.v. dinners, diet soda, and fast food, so I can save time to waste eight hours per day on twitter and facebook and watching reality television." Ohwow! User ID: 16023386 United States 01/16/2013 08:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Oh wow, op I love this post. No one gets it do they? What makes me mad is when I go to the store and try to find something like yougurt, milk, whatever, it always says "REDUCED FAT OR NO FAT" i am like what the fk, I am not fat, why should I go on a diet with everyone else in the US that has bought into the lie, "fat makes you fat". Sorry for the rant, I like Dutch's recipe. I am going to try that. I do find whole fat at the organic store when I go, they know not everyone is falling for this lie that is making everyone brain dead and sick. No, not just any fat, like the crap the government has put into our food supply |

I was skeptical, I tried it, it's awesome. I also add a tablespoon of MCT oil. |

As for the butter in coffee there are better ways. A paliolithic approach covers the fats/ fibrous carbs and minimal fructose in realistic proportions. Yes fat is very important. And more importantly, fat (not trans fats) won't make you fat :-) Last Edited by trailingedge on 01/17/2013 04:27 AM where thought goes, energy flows "youth is the ultimate wealth, and you're a bit poorer today." |

I suppose this provides a placebo for people who are desperate. |

Debauchery User ID: 15455863 United States 01/17/2013 05:36 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | An entire stick of butter in one cup of coffee? Absolutely ridiculous. And the LORD spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it. I am an evil giraffe, and I shall eat more leaves from this tree than perhaps I should, so that other giraffes may die. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 12366656 United States 01/17/2013 05:50 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Im a 10 yr DTR dietican and a 20 yr personal trainer ... Dude Im with Brief on this .... WTF Well in dub-yah/dub-yah eye-eye, the big one. Jerry used to feed his troops (if he could) 10 whole chicken eggs per day, over three meals. The cholesterol in the eggs, at that dose, were beleived to increase testosterone in the blood, and therefore agression, and recovery from intense muscular activity. Those with alergies of chicken eggs were exempt from the fighting branches of service in Germany. Perhaps this is still in effect today, in the German Military Service? So as to the butter thing, some things just seem to work. Since you seem to be a finely tuned specimin, it seems you would be a perfect experimental subject (do you have a twin?) Perhaps work this into your daily diet for 6 weeks, and monitor your body fat, and overall agression level. Because if you end up as docile as a milk cow, but trim, perhaps it is just for women, or only for certain body types. |
