As a Seattle resident, I have to say that this is still almost unbelievable. Pot is legal? Seriously? Well, it better be 'cause I started enjoying the green after the vote was official. Never ever thought I would live to be able to legally smoke dope. Wow.

MJ should be legal in every state in the U.S..

People should be free to grow and use a sacred plant which has been around with humankind for thousands and thousands of years.

Cannabis is a spiritual, natural, relaxing, pain-reliving, healing plant.

Cannabis helps with chronic pain, arthritis, stomach-aches, cramps, and head-aches. (A nice joint will cure any of that right up most of the time.)

Cannabis doesn't even have to be smoked... It can be made into candy bars, chocolate brownies, cookies, and drinks.

The only reason Cannabis is not legal... is because TPTB, Government, BigPharma, and all of the megalomaniac control-freaks don't want it to be legal.

Hemp can be made into clothes, shoes, bio-fuel, and a long list of useful products.

If MJ was legal to grow, legal to use, legal to sell in stores... the economy would recover.

The plant is sacred. It should be treated properly. Many of the ancients spoke about cannabis.

Legalize it...

I read about this on ninemsn a couple weeks ago. Ceebs looking for the article but it said that it would still be illegal to smoke on the street. You would be allowed to possess one of the following-

28 grams fresh herb
500grams food
or 1kg liquid thc.

Why is this pinned? Someone link the article where it says they were making it legal on the street. Because I haven't read that anywhere.

Who cares, what's the point of drugging yourself with pot unless you use it for medical pain reasons.

The rules have changed for one side of the supply/demand cycle. Demand will obviously increase.

The rules for the other side (supply) will not change for a year.

During that year, supply will need to keep up with demand, yet supply will still be considered illegal and will still be an underground activity.

Unfortunately, this means that violent crime associated with the supply side will increase, giving the politicians (especially in other states) every example they need to either overturn this, pass massive additional restrictions, or keep it illegal universally.
