Kids are not even allowed to use the word "Christmas" in some schools in ANY way at all, here's proof:

How truly sad. So tell me why then that it's ok that my 6 year old son came home from school today singing "dreidel dreidel dreidel" and when I asked where he'd heard that song he told me "we learned it in music class at school." Is that NOT a JEWISH HOLIDAY SONG??? Now I'm not being anti-semetic, but if you're gonna say that kids can't even SAY the word CHRISTMAS in schools because it's religious and they don't want to offend ANYONE, THEN DON'T TEACH THEM JEWISH SONGS!!!!!!!!!! My family is not Jewish and we happen to celebrate Christmas. SO DON'T TELL ME MY CHILD CAN'T SAY CHRISTMAS WHEN YOU'RE TEACHING HIM HANUKKAH SONGS!!!

First off, Hanukkah isn't strictly for Jews. I'm not Jewish & we are really looking forward to the start of Hanukkah Sunday evening.

2nd, Jesus probably kept Hanukkah as is kinda hinted at in John 10. If you are a follower of Jesus, then you would keep the holidays he did. (he was NOT born in the Winter, scripture shows he was born in the fall, during the Feast of Tabernacles)

What is wrong with learning songs of a different culture?

My kids had to be in school & put up with all the Xmas stuff going on around them, why can't your child learn about a different holiday?
