This is the exact same type of narrative that accompanied the Iraq invasion. They even made our soldiers run around in chemical suits, burning up in the heat. Everyone was just sure Saddam was going to use chemical weapons, and it justified whatever pre-emptive action was required to prevent it. The propagandists think so little of the American public they don't even change the playbook. Anyways, wasn't it Joel Skouzen who said, several weeks ago, that Ambassador Stevens was killed because he got caught by the Russians running chemical weapons into Syria for a planned false flag?

US Trains Rebel Brigades to Secure Chemical Weapons

The US and its allies have hired contractors to train some Syrian rebel brigades in chemical weapons security, Syria Deeply has exclusively learned from four diplomats, including one US official. The sources asked to remain anonymous, as they deal directly with developments in Syria. The training would mark a higher level of coordination between the US and armed opposition forces, working to secure Syria’s chemical arsenal during a period of political turmoil.

The diplomatic sources say defense contractors hired by the US and its European allies have recently conducted training exercises with Syrian rebel forces in Turkey and Jordan. The programs were intended to prepare brigades to handle chemical weapons sites and materials they might encounter, as Assad troops lose control of over parts of the country. US contractors have also been on the ground in Syria to monitor the status of regime stockpiles, said an employee with a major US defense consultancy that has been engaged in that work.

“They’re probably trying to provide near real-time surveillance at all these sites. There’s no point in limiting yourself,” said Anthony Cordesman of the Center for Strategic and International Studies. He emphasized that any training of rebel fighters would represent just one element of contingency planning underway and said it would be incorrect to assume that training rebels is “the only hope”.

The State Department affirmed its concern over Syria’s chemical weapons, concerns that have been discussed with opposition leaders, but would not comment directly on the details of this report. The Defense Department hasn’t responded to a request for comment on the revelations.

I'm sure he has. Syria has a very good chemical weapons program and has had one since the 1980's. Assad has Sarin weapons, among others, but those are the ones in question. He has mixed his precursor chemicals and apparently has armed his shells, bombs or whatever deployment systems.

The "Rebels" allegedly have captured a chemical plant, one that makes "chlorine gas"...chlorine has many purposes and is almost always created as a gas, then condensed into liquid, used for a myriad of purposes, water treatment etc etc.

Chlorine gas is nasty stuff...While it's not a true chemical weapon cyanide truly isn't either and has many industrial purposes...both will kill a lot of people if they happen to get loose on a population.

Debka alludes that this "chemical plant" isn't just a purely industrial chemical manufacturing facility. They claim it is actually a chemical weapons depot that also houses SDUD-D missiles...that remains to be seen IMO right now.

There have however been other intel articles written about the facility in the past...and it's been named as a chemical weapons manufacturing plant...also has had reports of a chemical weapons "accident"...involving VX, Sarin and Mustard agents...VX is about as whicked as it gets as far as "Chemical weapons" go, it make Sarin look like baby Lotion...

Actually American soldiers did get attacked with a Sarin shell by Iraqi's at least once I can remember, it wasn't very effective, some of that was because American troops were prepared for it, some was because the Iraqis didn't use the weapon properly...I believe 2 soldiers were treated after it. I'm sure I could find several articles about that, or you could do your own research.

I have read up on a few chemical weapons and suffice to say the claim of chem weapons lab that has been captured is a bit of a shot in the dark IMO it sounds more like an attempt of gaining brownie points in the propaganda war.....

we are only aware of what we are exposed to, for all we know the dangerous game of tit for tat with chemical weapons has one on for a very long time, I believe Assad is Prep'ed and ready however I don't believe he will use them unless they are used first by the rebels or with extreme provocation from outside forces.... but at the same time its hard for someone to say what will happen as we only see what is wanted to be seen no one can truly predict what will happen unless they are the ones who will be doing something.....

Good write up of possibilities - goes to show hard to tell who's telling the truth or what/who's behind it all. Propaganda is strong on all sides...outcome will most likely be the same though...invasion one way or another.
What will Russia do? Most like they will use a scenario that would make Russia look bad if they continue their same policy on Assad/Syria.

Hmm We (NATO) have white phospherous tiped munitions that also create these massive burns. All we have to do is target close enough, it incinerates the area. My bet is we're smuggling these munitions to the rebels by the hundreds. Assads crazy ass is cornered, he might try to say these burns are "chloride" based or mustered gas etc..just to be able to pull out his bio/chemical weapons.

Yes it does appear strange. However, from Assad's position now - It's appearing more and more as if (with the FSA and the like, being reported to capture/possess these weapons) -it may offer him a ticket (on the far side of this-if there is one) perhaps for a "less bumpy ride" in the possible courts of public opinion...that likely otherwise would make few/if any possibilities, for him to seek any type of "normalcy" of life, per asylum to another country.

So what I'm getting at is this: (prior to this (soon-to-be broadly discussed idea now per MSM) of Assad's enemies capturing a huge cache of thes awful weapons), it was well understood by "the sheeple" that Assad was the one with these weapons.

Now, with his "enemies" in possession...(once this thing goes really hot), most assuredly Israel will be involved/attacked at some point with them.

Therefore, he (Assad), depending on how he plays it and MSM reports/plays it, could end up not only (not being blamed for their ussage, but potentially even vindicated (in the Arab world), in the attacks on Israel.

It has the potential of escalating with the Arabs'(common enemy), to the point whereby he's no longer viewed as "the primary bad guy with these weapons" and he therefore now has a target of potential blame for their usage, namely the FSA/alQ/etc., if not directly, plausible deniability.

Only speculation, admittedly; but at least now (he has another player) that he potentially can lay blame for their usage. The motivations for their usage then, can be even farther reaching than firs glance.
